Google Buys Itself an IDN Portfolio.
It seems that Google has been quietly building itself an IDN Portfolio.
Many smaller companies have done this already, but we are now seeing a shift into larger companies, purchasing IDN Domain Names for themselves.
Google, is not the only BIG company doing this, as you can see by other posts on this site.

Corporate World Embracing IDNs.
With recent news of Google, Microsoft and McDonalds buying up IDN Domain Names, Pizza Hut China has jumped in as well.

It looks like the business world is becoming savvy to the fact that IDNs will be an important piece of their overall business strategy.
Investors should take note...this is the start of what will only increase IDN values, and jumping in ASAP, before generic domains become out of reach, would be a wise decision.

internationalized domain names, a step that would improve Internet availability for
populations that don’t use the Roman alphabet character set. This failure could
prove fatal to the ICANN experiment if these populations and their governments
decide to implement their own non-Roman DNS.
